January Favourites ♡

Hey Everyone,

So as it is now the end of January- which has gone way too fast and it only feels like yesterday that it was Christmas -I decided to do my January favourites. Throughout this month I haven’t really tried anything brand new so I have stayed in my comfort zone and kept to the products that I know and trust, as well as being reunited with some old favourites and I found it particularly difficult to whittle it down to just a few favourites.

So my first favourite is MAC’s Velvet Teddy, I have worn this constantly over January (and December). It’s a stunning light brown nude colour and is probably one of my all-time favourites. Despite it being a matte lipstick I don’t find it drying at all which is an obvious bonus! I also love this lipstick because it compliments my fair skin really well. The pigmentation is great and overall it is a lovely everyday lipstick to have in your collection. As it being more of a high-end product it’s definitely on the pricier side for a lipstick, however you get what you pay for and I think £15 is an amazing price for this lipstick and I definitely recommend.IMG_2663

My Second favourite is a piece of jewellery; it is the Anna Saccone Star Sign Necklace. I have the gold Libra one and I just can’t stop wearing it. I find that it goes with everything and again it really compliments my fair skin tone. I am unsure as to what the price was for this necklace as it was a Christmas present from my parents. I have never really worn necklaces but since receiving this I don’t seem to take it off.

My next favourite for this month is the new TV series Scream Queens, starring Emma Roberts; it’s all about a sorority with an unknown serial killer constantly terrorising them… The first season has now finished and it is clearly ended as a set up for the second season (which is always exciting). I was hooked and constantly anticipated the next episode. For UK viewers you can catch this on E4 or 4 On Demand and I highly recommend this to any Pretty Little Liars fans!

So my fourth favourite his month has been the One Direction album- Made in the AM. This is album is just amazing (not fangirling or anything), there is such a good range of songs for every mood and they are all just perfect. My favourite songs at the moment are definitely Wolves, Perfect and End of the Day. This album is I think the best album the boys have done and I just cannot wait for them to come back and make even more amazing albums!IMG_2659

So my fifth and final favourite of January is a Smoothie, I have always loved to drink smoothies as they always leave me feeling really refreshed and healthy, they also fill me up when I need a snack. So this month I seem to have been gravitating to the same recipe. This recipe is one of my all-time favourites; it is made of Banana, Mango, Orange, Pineapple, honey yogurt and a small bit of ice.

So that was my January favourites! I hope you all enjoyed them and i hope to continue doing them every month from now on.

My Everyday Makeup Products ♡

Hey Everyone,

So I love to wear makeup and always make sure to do my make-up before I leave for school in the morning. These are the products that I will wear most days, however sometimes I do like to change it up a little, and try out some new things.

The first product I use is the Maybeline New York Super Stay 24 hour powder. I love this powder because it gives me a really light coverage and covers the slight redness I have in my face. I have never worn foundation purely because I don’t want to break out but if your looking for a great coverage without wearing foundation I really recommend this.IMG_2652Eyes:
Eyes are probably my favourite part of my makeup routine because there are so many options (even though I am too shy and always wear the same look). I always will use my Naked 2 Palette; I will use the shades Foxy, Tease and Suspect on my lid and will either use my Real Techniques metallics brush in 200 or just my finger. I will then add a tiny bit of Bootycall in the corner of my eye to wake me up a little bit. Then I will just finish off my look with some Benefit Roller lash mascara.
I never really do anything with my brows, I just comb them into place and if I have time set them but; but that is all really.

The very first thing I will do with my lips is moisturize them with my EOS lip balm – my favourite flavour at the moment is mint as I always associate it with Winter. Then I will either use my MAC Velvet Teddy lipstick which is a stunning light brown nude colour and is probably one of my all-time favourites! Or I will use my MAC Pink Plaid lipstick which is an absolutely gorgeous ‘your lips but better’ pink colour and it just looks really natural and gives my lips a pop of colour.IMG_2655

So that is my everyday makeup products! I hope you all enjoyed this post and I will definitely update you if it changes at all. Please tell me in the comments if there are any good products to try out!

Facing your Fears ♡

Facing Your Fears.jpg
Hey Everyone,

So today’s post is going to be a little different to what I normally post. The other day a situation came up where I was put face to face with one of my biggest fears (snakes) and all I did was just runaway and cry (I was mortified). So as it is still the beginning of the year, I was thinking about how this year I want that to change, I don’t want my instant reaction to be to cry and hide under a rock. I want to face my fears and not let them control me or hold me back. That is why for today’s post I want to talk about one of the most memorable experiences I had with fear when I was a little bit younger.

So my family had gone to Disney Land Paris on a holiday and my Mum said to me that she would come on a rollercoaster with all of us (which is a huge fear of hers) if I went up the Eiffel Tower and tried to face my fear, so I said yes… (What was I thinking?)
We got the train into the centre of Paris and spent the day shopping, but it then came the time for me to go up the Eiffel Tower. I felt terrified; I was so close to tears it was horrible. But, I got in the lift and it slowly went up (which felt like an eternity) until we reached the top floor!

How would you all feel? Scared, Vulnerable, Terrified?

Or…. Would you be filled with a rush of excitement and confidence, would it make you feel alive? Well that is exactly how I felt! I stood there looking at the amazing views, smiling I felt like I could literally do anything! I do have to say to begin with I was a little bit hesitant, but one look at the view and I felt as if my fear had completely gone and it was perfect! I think it is one of the best experiences of my life! I felt so good about myself, I felt confident, I was so happy.

So I just stood there smiling, yes my heart was racing so so fast, my mind was thinking a million thoughts a minute, but I could just not get over the fact I was facing my fear and it was no longer controlling me. And that is why I wrote this post. I just feel that having fears and not doing things because of fears, really does hold people back (including myself) and I just thought if I shared my experience then it would hopefully inspire even just one person to face their fears and have amazing experiences like this too.
Recently I have noticed myself holding back a lot because I was scared what people would think of me or what could happen, and because I was scared! But you have to remember that they do say life begins outside your comfort zone…

Thanks for reading I hope you enjoyed this post, it was different to what I normally do, but if you like it I might do more posts like this?

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette ♡

Hey Everyone,

So at Christmas, I was so lucky and grateful to receive the Naked 2 palette and have constantly been using it and trying out all the shades ever since. That is why I thought I would post a review of it today.

I love this palette so much and have treated this palette like a queen, keeping it in perfect condition. All of the shades are absolutely stunning- yet there are a few that I am not daring enough to wear out in public, but if I had the confidence I would sure try and rock them! The shades are all really pigmented, go onto your eyelid with ease and last a really long time; however with the primer sample they gave me it stayed on all day. The palette has shades perfect for day and night and a few that would work from day to night if you’re in a rush.

My favourite day-time shade is definitely Bootycall. It is the prettiest pink shade ever and goes perfect with my skin tone because I am quite pale. If I have a little extra time to do my make-up that day, I will add a small amount of Chopper on top to give it that extra special look. This is the most stunning shimmery copper shade and would look amazing with any skin tone.

For my everyday look, I tend to use Bootycall and Foxy together with a bit of Chopper on top. Then when I’m done I will use Foxy in the corner of my eye to help me look more awake.
For a night look, my favourite shade is Suspect. It is a beautiful gold shade, yet in some lights a hint of silver shows, and it just looks amazing. I would also wear Chopper as a night look and why I was suggest it as the perfect day to night look as it could look really casual throughout the day or look really glamourous during the night.IMG_2564

This palette gives you the ability to create the perfect smoky eye in a range of colours. Also there are colours that would look amazing with any skin tone, however I would love for there to be a few more lighter shades and a few more shades that are not so shimmery, so that I could wear them to school and have a more natural look rather than a bolder look.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and may be taking a trip to your local Urban Decay Counter, if you like this sort of post please feel free to tell me in the comments below.

Lush Products Review ♡

Hey Everyone,

If you are anything like me then  you love Lush. Who doesn’t right? And it seems recently I have collected a number of amazing new products to try and I have just instantly fell in love with all of them and of course as it was recently Christmas, treating myself to some old favourites.

Obviously as it is that time of year, I have to talk about ‘Snow Fairy’. This is one of my all-time favourite Lush products, the smell is utterly addictive and so sweet and I always find it perks me up in the mornings. I love how fresh and clean it makes me feel and I love how the smell stays with you even out of the bath. I also love how it makes me feel extra festive with the hint of sparkle.

$RI2RSMPLeading on from ‘Snow Fairy’, I now have to talk to you about ‘Candy Mountain’. This bubble bar is just amazing. I’m obsessed with the sweet candy smell and how soft it makes my skin feel after the bath. It’s also feels so luxurious when you crumble it up under running water and it turns your bath into a bubbly, comforting, creamy candy scented heaven. It makes the perfect gift for friends.

Now onto one of my new recent purchases, the ‘Rub Rub Rub’ scrub. I don’t know why it has taken me this long to try this scrub because it is just incredible. My skin always feels so luxurious after exfoliating with this; it makes my skin feel extremely soft and revived due to the sea-salt in it. This scrub smells so refreshing with mimosa blossom scent, and I was reading up on it and it also refreshes you because it contains lemon juice (also because it is bright blue)! You can also use a small amount of this as a shower gel.

I have also been using ‘Grease Lightning’ a lot recently, and I have fallen $RWZNJ33back in love with it. I think this is an amazing product because it not onlyworks, but it shows results so fast and this is because it has tea tree in it which works wonders on annoying spots. However, this product works so much better for spots which are under the skin, but does works for spots you were not able to prevent. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for something like this.

$RKQY4Y5Now onto a classic ‘Space Girl’, this bath bomb smells so fresh and girly, just like sweets! I always look forward to using this bath bomb because it contains popping candy and turns your bath in some sort of exploding faraway galaxy. It really does make your whole bathroom smell amazing as well as making my skin feel really silky and smooth. Because it has grapefruit oil in it, it’s so refreshing and uplifts the mood, whilst clarifying and toning the skin.

Now for one of my all time favourtie bath bombs ‘Dragons Egg’. This bath bomb is amazing, it smells stunning, just like sherbert but it has a under lying smell of flowers which is such a classic smell. Yet it still surprises me when I drop it into the water and it explodes with different colours which always makes me feel so fresh and invigorated and you must try it!

Another all-time favourite of mine, is the ‘Honey I Washed the Kids’ soap, $RDLV9K6I love the caramel scent of this soap it always lifts my mood yet seems to relax me at the same time. After using this soap my skin feels so soft and clean. This soap also contains wild orange and bergamot oils which have the soothing properties of honey and aloe vera gel, which works wonders on my skin especially in the winter when the weather is more drying.

$RZP0541Finally for something completely out of my normal comfort zone, it is the ‘Cinders’ bath bomb. I never thought that I would, but I love the slightly spicy scent, it made me feel so warm and cosy and I will definitely try it again. It is the perfect Christmas scent for people who might not like the sweeter scents. It also really put me into the Christmas mood.

What are your favourite Lush products? Tell me in the comments below and I’ll have to try them out, hope you enjoyed this post!

My Relaxing Night in Routine ♡

Hey Everyone,

I am the person that throughout the week I cannot wait to just sit down and relax. So every now and then I love to just relax, pamper myself and do nothing. That is why today I thought I would share with you my night time routine.

The very first thing I will do is either make myself a big cup of tea or hot chocolate (and of course with some whipped cream on top), then I will take it upstairs and run a bath. Whilst the bath is running I will light some candles just to relax myself even more and add to the mood, and once the bath is ready and being Lush obsessed I add a bath bomb, my favourite is the ‘Butterball’ because it makes my skin feel so soft and luxurious. I will also add part of a bubble bar and for this I like to use an array of options but I tend to stick with ‘Candy Mountain’.

Then when everything is done i will get into the bath and even just relax or I will go on my phone, check social media and watch some Youtube or Netfilx. After about half an hour of that I will use a body scrub- I always gravitate towards the soap and glory ‘The Scrub of your Life’ or the ‘Rub Rub Rub’ scrub from Lush to make my skin feel even more luxurious. Once I have finished I will just use some shower gel, for this I have no preference whatsoever but last time I used ‘Snow Fairy’ because it was Christmas Eve and  I wanted to get all excited for Christmas and this scent always does.

Realising, that I have spent way to long in the bath I will get out and get dressed into my cosiest pyjamas. Feeling all warm and cosy I will cleanse my skin with my Garnier Micellar Water and apply my go to Simple replenishing moisturizer. After cleansing my skin, I will make myself another hot drink and snuggle into bed with my laptop and phone and watch either a few episodes my current show on netflix (right now I am on Season 5 of Gossip Girl) or a movie (comment down below if you want me to do a my top movies post). When I am feeling ready to go to sleep I will pick up the book I am currently reading, (which currently is ‘The Red Queen’ by Victoria Aveyard) and read for a little bit, and then finally go to bed

So I hope you all enjoy this post and are inspired to treat yourself and have a relaxing night in.
